The Feathered Frenzy Aviary is located in Southeast Illinois just across the Wabash River from Vincennes, Indiana.  It is a small, personally owned aviary operated by myself with the help of family and friends.  The Parrot Posse was formed for your convenience.  We are happy to help you choose the right companion bird for you and your family.  The Posse can provide you and your bird with perches, toys, training, behavior education and other speciality products.

My main focus is raising cockatiels that are competitive, exhibition quality with super sweet personalities.  The only rare mutations I am working with currently are the pastelface and the creamface.  My favorite mutation is the cinnamon and cinnamon pearl pieds.  It was actually seeing my first cinnamon pearl pied that got me hooked on exhibition.  I just had to have one!  

  It was last year's project to produce some super lutinos and we have done just that.  This year the baby focus will on Bond and Beau babies.   Raising and exhibiting cockatiels is something the whole family can enjoy.  Educational opportunities are endless.  Animal husbandry,  basic genetics , and wroking toward a common goal are just a few things a family can enjoy together.  I really like sharing cockatiel exhibition with new people so if you think you may be interested, or you would just like to know a little more about exhibiting cockatiels, please contact me.

Other exotic birds in the aviary are green cheeked conure mutations.  I have yellow sided, pineapple and turquoise.  These birds are from the pyrrhura family and are the QUIET conures.  They are playful, fun, and delightful little birds that make wonderful companions for adults and older  children.

The Aratinga conures “Louder and larger versions” I have are Blue Crowns, Sun Conures and Gold Capped Conures.  I have cockatiel and green cheeked mutation hand fed babies about all year long.  The others are available occasionally so check the availability section often or let me know you would like to be placed on the Baby Bird waiting list.  Check www.parrotposse.com for availability.
